If you are "being good" with your diet it's not always easy to stick to this when eating out or ordering takeaway or home-delivery.
Often you are left with choosing a dull salad or having a small starter as your main. And when your food arrives, everyone else around the table is tucking into a plates filled with your favourite fatty foods on.
It's been not much fun - especially when you are trying so hard.
Whilst some Indian dishes are already considered healthy, their descriptions on the menu won't tell you for you how much oil has been used or whether its cream, milk or yoghurt that's been used in the sauce.
It's a diet jungle out there, which for many isn't worth the effort of going out for.
But we don't think all this fair and we're doing something about it.
EVERYONE DESERVES TO BE ABLE TO EAT-OUT EASILY
Last year we made it simpler for vegans and vegetarians to order at Spice Fusion by introducing new dishes to our menu. And for pescatarians (who eat fish but not meat) we added Red Snapper as an options for our curries so they have more choice.
If you are following a low-fat diet plan, you'll now find it easier to stick to that at Spice Fusion. Our new low-fat starters, curries and side order options are easy to find in a "Being Good" section on the menu.
"BEING GOOD" SHOULDN'T MEAN LESS TASTY
Our new "Being Good" dishes have been created following a simple rule - they must taste as good as the rest of our menu. It's not been easy and there's been a few evenings of trial.
Based on feedback during the development of these dishes from customers and a couple of food and diet experts, we think we've achieved it!
COOKED LEAN MEAT SHOULDN'T TASTE AVERAGE
When you aren't able to use much oil, butter or a creamy sauce to cook lean meat, it can often taste a bit dull or a dried out - but we've discovered when cooked using our unique spice blends (and a spray of two of 1-cal oil) they taste really good.
You can thank our Head Chef Abul for this. Whilst it's not rocket-science, his skill in blending spices is certainly something we believe makes the difference in these dishes.
YOU CAN ORDER A STARTER AND A SIDE DISH TOO!
Often when on a diet and eating out, an easy option is to skip the starter and sit there waiting whilst everyone else is enjoys theirs. With our two new low-fat starter options, you can join the feast from the start.
We've also created a low-fat version of the nation's favourite Indian vegetable dish, Bombay Aloo (Potatoes) - so now you can enjoy something "on the side" with your main.
And as well as plain rice to accompany your curry - we've the option of "Being Good" low-fat Mushroom Rice - which is very popular!
ENJOY OUR "BEING GOOD" DISHE HERE OR AT HOME
Our "Being Good" dishes are available to enjoy in our restaurant or can be ordered online for home-delivery or collection. We hope you enjoy - please do let us know what you think!
We're open from 5.30pm every evening and look forward to serving you soon!
