HOW TO BEAT THE POST BANK HOLIDAY BLUES

Once the August Bank Holiday has happened, it's not until Christmas we get to enjoy another extended weekend.

Here's a few ways that you can do something new and look forward to the weeks until then - including a couple from us!

SIGN UP FOR A COURSE AT A LOCAL ADULT EDUCATION CENTRE

Medway Council offer over 600 learning courses each year with over 120 of these beginning in September. Whether it's something creative such as photography, cake making or jewellery design or something more technical such as website development - there's a course starting soon near you!

ENJOY A MOVIE AT THE ROCHESTER CASTLE OUTDOOR CINEMA WEEKEND

The Luna Cinema returns with a fantastic line-up of films to see under the stars from Friday 20th to Sunday 22nd September. Shown with a spectacular backdrop of Rochester Castle at night, along with street food and bar pop-ups on site, these films can certainly be enjoyed by all.

FRIDAY 20 SEPTEMBER - Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkban

SATURDAY 21 SEPTEMBER - Bohemian Rhapsody

SUNDAY 22 SEPTEMBER - Monty Python and the Holy Grail

START LOOKING FORWARD TO THE WORKS CHRISTMAS PARTY AT SPICE FUSION

With card shops already full of Christmas cards, it's officially the run-up to the festive period. Whilst for some that feels far too early, there's plenty of people that like getting organised for the fun during December.

Booking and arranging the works Christmas Party can be a real headache - but we've worked hard to ensure that both our menu options (including vegetarian, vegan and "don't like curry" options!) and also pre-ordering isn't a chore for the organiser.

And we've an "all-inclusive" drinks option available - you'll be able to relax and not worry about "splitting the bill" at the end.

BE ONE OF THE FIRST TO SHOP AT THE M&S NEW FOOD HALL

The food hall at M&S in Hempstead Valley has been expanded and refurbished - the first of their "new look" in the U.K. With a Howard School student now the MD of M&S Food, he chose their Hempstead Valley store to be the first in the UK to enjoy a whole new look.

LEARN MORE ABOUT GIN

The Copper Rivet Distillery at Chatham Dockyard is one of the few places in England that you can experience the entire distillation process from grain to glass and will end with a tasting of their crafted spirits.

Copper Rivet's distillery at Chatham Dockyard is a true wow! of a visit

After your tour why not enjoy a perfect serve of our signature Dockyard Gin and Tonic in their visitor centre or, on a sunny day, on Distiller’s Lawn overlooking the River Medway.

Alternatively, head to Spice Fusion - as well as serving both Copper Rivet's Dockyard Gin & Damson Gin we have an additional 23 other gins from around the UK and further afield.

We hope these ideas inspire you a little bit. Happy September to you all!
