We're delighted to be hosting this Kent-based charity's Fundraising Dinner on Wednesday 9 October. "Holding On Letting Go" helps children and their carers to cope following the death of someone close to them.

“When I suddenly and unexpectedly lost my husband the impact on both myself and more importantly on the children was huge. I was put in contact with HOLG through a bereavement counsellor the children were seeing.
HOLG have been so very tremendously supportive to us as a family. Russell's death left me feeling very isolated. HOLG stepped in to support us. The children attended a 2 day bereavement support weekend where the children got to meet with other bereaved children, to share their memories of their daddy and to speak freely to the volunteers about him. I cannot tell you how much my own children benefitted from it.
They made so many crafts, including dream-catchers, memory boxes and many more items. The girls, of course, loved all the glitter, drawing and painting. However it was my son who surprised me the most. I remember him coming into my bedroom that evening, sitting down cross-legged on the floor and proudly showing me all that he made.
These weekend workshops are so valuable. The volunteers are absolutely amazing having given up their entire weekend to spend time with these young confused grieving children.
HOLG has been a lifeline to myself and my children.
Without the continuous fundraising and generous donations HOLG would not be able to do the amazing work that they do.”
