About the event
Hi, I'm Wilson. I'm a 14 year old Year 9 student at Leigh Academy in Rainham. My greatest passion is playing the guitar, being inspired so much by both of my grandads. My Grandad Paul played in a band called the Southern Gentlemen. Although I was only four or five years old at the time, I do remember my Grandad becoming ill and being looked after in his home for 4 or 5 months after finally being admitted to the Wisdom Hospice where he  passed peacefully in their gracious care. I remember very well how much they looked after him and cared for him and made his last days so comfortable while also making sure my whole family were involved in his care. So when Leigh Academy Rainham asked year 9 students to carry out a project to support the community, the Wisdom Hospice was the first thing I thought of. The Wisdom Hospice in Rochester cares for more than 400 people in their homes and 15 patients in the hospice at any one time and rely on a daily fundraising target of £2,500 to continue this outstanding service. In order to help and raise funds for this incredible chairty, I would like to invite you to an enjoyable evening at Spice Fusion on Monday 18 March, where you can expect a delicious 2 course meal and musical entertainment provided by me and my friend Ffion in our band Acoustic Rain, performing a selection of songs whilst you dine. There will also be a raffle with many prizes worth winning! So please support this deserving cause and treat yourselves to a great evening! Thank you. Wilson  The evening will start at 7pm with a two course Indian meal (dietary needs catered for), with musical entertainment provided by Ffion Spring and Wilson Beatty. Ffion, 14, is an accomplished singer and Wilson, also 14, is an outstanding guitarist. Together they have curated a set specially for this occasion.  The food will consist of a mixed veg starter, with a main course of our now popular Masoori Black Pepper Chicken (mild), Garlic Chilli Chicken Masala (medium) Bombay Potato, Veg Curry & Pilau Rice. Drinks can be purchased from our Drinks Menu, tap water is always available on request.  Tickets are £25 per adult, with £15 from each ticket being donated to the fund.   Please note that some tables may have mixed seating. Please note that some tables may have mixed seating.
